The City of Southampton Society was founded in1962. The Society is a Registered Charity (No 1006256) and a member of the Southampton Heritage Federation.

The Society is independent and has no political affiliation.  We welcome members of the community who share our objectives.

The aims of the Society are;

- To encourage high standards of planning and architecture in Southampton.

- To stimulate publlic interest in, and care for the beauty, history and character of our City.

- To encourage development and improvement of public amenities and the preservation of places of historical interest.
